We will be receiving our annual shipment of hickory, red oak and pecan later this week, the mesquite has already arrived. One truckload a year is all we order. When it is gone it is gone… until next year. Our commercial accounts have already placed their orders and we have about 7000 lbs. left for sale to the general public.

We will give the readers of this site 1st position before we go public with this years supply. A word to the wise…Buy early, these woods can sometimes “fly” out the door! (Our most popular fruit woods are available throughout the year.)

These species are the woods of choice in most of BBQ-dom.

It has been said…Hickory is the King of BBQ woods…Red oak is the Queen and Pecan the prince. Here is a limited opportunity to discover why they are so popular in the BBQ belt.

Look to pay about a dollar a pound…fob Edgewood, WA.. This wood is in “firewood” size pieces and suited perfectly for “stick burners”. Bullet’s or similar cookers will need to “remanufacture” to smaller sizes, (do it yourself and save)…we always recommend this practice anyway to keep the wood from drying out between cooks and retaining more of its unique flavor.
